🇫🇷 France vs. 🇪🇸 Spain — Today, Dallas. A nation that celebrates the anniversary of storming a prison will today attempt to storm a Spanish back line that has conceded exactly one goal all tournament. The Office reminds readers that Spain surrenders Pheasant Island to France on August 1 regardless; the Cats have simply elected not to wait, they will pounce now (as they do).
The stakes, restated for the record: the Cats hold the best real score on the board (29) and are the last family federation still playing. A win today extends the only live points campaign in the competition. A loss returns the entire family to the wall, where we all belong.
🏛️ Office operations
A scheduling disclosure: kickoff falls during a finance department meeting, and the Commissioner will therefore be practicing le multitâche — a French discipline in which one maintains full professional engagement with a discussion of accruals while a second screen decides the fate of the feline federation. The Office's position is that this constitutes continuing professional education and no further questions will be accepted at this time.
As for the day's second holiday: the Commissioner, constituting the Office's entire nonbinary workforce, has approved observance in their own honor. The motion carried unanimously. There may be ice cream.
